The vision of the management of the Hospital is that the Rajiv Gandhi Cooperative Hospital should be a unique Super Specialty Hospital which will be having 500 beds and all modern facilities that a hospital can provide. All facilities which will realize the dream of starting a medical college in the future, will be provided for in the super specialty hospital at Kallekkad. In the first phase, it is proposed to construct a building complex having 9 storeys , besides basement, in an area of four and half lakh sq.ft 

P. Balan Memorial Pain & Palliative Care Society is a charitable institution organized by the management of the Hospital for promoting philanthropic activities. It provides solace to the bedridden, helpless and poor patient who is suffering from continuous pain, even after prolonged and continuous treatment. The society provides free OP facilities once in a week and free home visits twice in a week for the helpless patients. More over if found necessary, in Hospital treatment is also provided for deserving cases.

Physiotherapy is an essential department in the modern medical treatment. Physiotherapy is a must for the patient to recoup his health after treatment. The Co-operative Physiotherapy Clinic which functions twice in a day in our hospital was able to provide this service to hundreds of patients at reasonable rates.

Because of the changes that has occurred in the life style of Keralites, “Diabetic Patients ” are increasing day by day in Kerala. As this disease is increasing in a rapid manner, The Co-operative Diabetic Clinic run by the hospital twice in a week under the guidance of experienced doctors for the last two years centralizes the Diabetic patients, providing guidance and treatment to them, thereby minimizing and controlling the effects of diabetics . More than 3000 patients per year are availing this service. The hospital proposes to start a center exclusively for the service of diabetic patients in future.

A society having its name as the Mahatma Gandhi Education Society with ‘A’ Class members of the hospital as members has been registered and commenced functioning to conduct para medical courses next academic year. Applications have been submitted to the Government for commencing A.N.M., G.N.M., D.M.L.T., B.P.T., and D.M.R.T. Courses by this society.
